FAQs

Perceive. Believe. Achieve.

Do you host birthday parties?

We do! There is a required down payment to secure a specific date you may be interested in. All we need is the expected number of kids, we provide everything else - 2 hours of games, prizes, demonstrations, board breaking, rope climbing, tumbling and some basic martial arts instruction. We even provide cake, ice cream and goodie bags!

What's required to test?

Depending on which level you are at, you'll be tested on what you have learned. Punches, kicks and stances and everything in between. You'll also be required to execute martial arts Forms which are a series of precise hand and foot movements. We have printed testing materials available at the training center which will list what is expected at each belt level. As you rise in rank your tests may also include board breaking and sparring.

How often will my son/daughter be tested?

We test monthly, but not everyone is eligible to test. We conduct our test by belt rank groups, for example:

  • Month 1 - White Stripe Belt, Yellow Belt, Yellow Stripe Belt
  • Month 2 - Green Belt, Green Stripe Belt, Blue Belt
  • Month 3 - Blue Stripe Belt, Red Belt, Red Stripe Belt

As you can see, it works out that you will have the opportunity to test about every 3 months. Black Belts test at specific times that are announced at the training center.

How much is it to enroll?

It is a year commitment to enroll. It also depends on your age and which martial art program you are interested in. If you have observed a class and have participated in our Future Student Program, office staff can explain what the payment options are and walk you through the process. If you have further questions, feel free email to our office.

How big are the classes?

Average class size can range from a small group of 6 to a larger group of 20.

Will my son/daughter get the attention they need as a new student?

We have optimized our class schedule so that new students will get the instruction time that they need while also allowing our more experienced students to be challenged appropriately.

How often do I have to come to class?

As you'll see from our class schedule we provide opportunities for you to come to class at least 2 times a week, which is what we recommend. We understand that your own schedule may not allow you to always come to class on the same day every week so you don't have to! There is a fair amount of material to learn and retain so the more you attend class the better.

When are the classes?

We offer classes at different times throughout the week and some classes on the weekends. Some of our junior’s classes have been split up by belt rank See calendar for more details.

What do I have to do to join?

A great way to see if a martial arts program is right for you is to come in and observe. This is our calendar of classes. If you are interested in one, feel free to come in to watch. Office staffs are available to answer any questions you may have or you can e-mail us here. We understand that you may not be certain this is for you (or your child) so we have a great introductory program. Our Future Student Program is a great way to get started in martial arts. It is designed to introduce you to our teaching style and philosophy and allows us to place you in the appropriate program. It includes 2 private lessons and a 2 piece uniform.
